SIRR - Sewer Inspection & Repair
bar

Patent Pending
SIRR was designed for one purpose, to take the guess work out of sewer main  inspections. It's abilities have far surpassed what it was originally designed to  perform. After several stages of prototyping and extensive real-world testing, the  results were an industry first.
The owner of EMT, having worked in the Sewer and Water industry as a pipe  layer, machine operator and camera/lining technician for over 7 years, came to the  conclusion that the industry needed more reliable and capable means of cleaning  and inspecting sewer pipes, air ducts, and storm drains. Current Mainline Camera  Systems use 1 camera on a heavy platform and no tooling options. SIRR employs  the use use of 4 High Resolution CCD Cameras working together to control the  steerable rover and EMT 4 Degree of Freedom Arm.
SIRR also sports a versatile tool attachment that allows cutting wheels, spray  nozzles, drills, cutting bits and other tools to be operated remotely.
Although expected to take the Trenchless Technology Industry by storm, SIRR  is still in testing phases. We are rigorously testing it's abilities and software to  ensure it will stand up to the high standards of today's professional contractors.

SIRR is capable of performing many unique jobs that no other sewer inspection system can.
  - Video Inspecting Sanitary, Storm and Water Mains 8" and up
  - Cutting out roots in mainlines and connection laterals
  - Cutting off metal Screws and debris before Relining Air/Heat Ducts
  - Reinstating broken Sewer/Storm Sections
  - Cutting out Lateral Connection Tappings in relined Sewer mains
  - It's abilities are limited only by your imagination
SIRR takes video inspection above and beyond the current systems. With four  independent high-resolution Color CCD Cameras onboard, you have every angle  covered. One camera mounted on the tip of the robotic arm, two on the front  and one at the rear. The cameras transmit the video feed to a Quad-processor  that processes the signals into variable display arrangements.
There are combinations of picture-in-picture, full screen, split-screen and  quad screen for viewing in any possible situation.

All four video feeds can be recorded simultaneously to an external hard drive or  directly to a small SD memory card.
SIRR is propelled by 6 high-power geared motors driving custom tires designed specifically for traction in pipes. With the 6 custom wheels it can drive through just about any obstacle in 8" (300mm) to 12"(600mm) pipe.

Using the 4 add-on wheels, which are 3 times the size, one can transverse 14" to 24" pipe.

The water-tight, cameras, electronics and chassis allow fully submersible situations. And 30 High-Output Infrared LEDS light up the environment without glare.

The 4 Degree of Freedom aluminum arm is the key to accurate cleaning, repair  and inspection.

It is equipped with a detachable rotary tool with interchangeable attachments.  There is a Color CCD camera mounted directly in the hand to make guiding the  tools easy. The arm has a full 360 degrees of free rotation and can be extended or  shortened with the add-on arm kits.
We have pictures and videos of the prototype testing that will be added soon. We are currently limited on the images and details we can release until the design is fully protected.
